Grade 9 is a critical year for mathematics in the South African CAPS Curriculum.

At the end of this year learners will decide whether to take Pure Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy.

This Grade 9 Project is to support learners to prepare for a good pass in mathematics and to encourage as many as possible to move into Pure Mathematics. 

This is done through ensuring that all of the base knowledge is in place and there is confidence and competence to work successfully, and to dispel the notion that mathematics is difficult.
